Statutory Inclusion Statement
Hollywood Park Nursery School – Statutory Inclusion Statement
Hollywood Park Nursery School is committed to providing an inclusive, welcoming and accessible environment for all children and families. We fulfil our duties under the Equality Act 2010, the Children and Families Act 2014, and the SEND Code of Practice (2015) by ensuring that every child can participate fully in nursery life.
We believe that inclusion is about removing barriers, not lowering expectations. We make reasonable adjustments to our environment, teaching and provision so that all children — including those with SEND, disabilities, medical needs, EAL, and those who are disadvantaged or under social care — can access our curriculum, feel safe, and thrive.
Our statutory commitments include:
-
promoting equality of opportunity for all children
-
making reasonable adjustments to meet individual needs
-
ensuring access to a broad, balanced and ambitious curriculum
-
identifying needs early and responding swiftly
-
working in partnership with families and professionals
-
celebrating diversity and fostering a sense of belonging
-
ensuring our environment is physically and emotionally accessible
-
monitoring inclusion and reporting regularly to governors
We are committed to continually reviewing our practice, adapting our provision and strengthening our inclusive culture so that every child can learn, play, grow and belong at Hollywood Park Nursery School.
